Dow drops 81 points on losses in shares of Walt Disney, Chevron

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning with shares of Walt Disney and Chevron seeing the biggest drops for the index. Shares of Walt Disney DIS, -0.99% and Chevron CVX, -1.40% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.35% was most recently trading 81 points, or 0.3%, lower. Walt Disney’s shares are off $2.77, or 1.5%, while those of Chevron have dropped $0.94, or 1.0%, combining for a roughly 24-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Boeing BA, -0.08%, Dow Inc. DOW, -1.60%, and American Express AXP, -0.86%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
