Dow jumps 100 points on gains for shares of Inc., JPMorgan Chase

Shares of Inc. and JPMorgan Chase are trading higher Tuesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.29% was most recently trading 103 points higher (0.3%), as shares of Inc. CRM, +3.57% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.73% are contributing about a quarter of the index’s intraday rally. Inc.’s shares have climbed $9.59, or 4.0%, while those of JPMorgan Chase are up $3.82, or 2.7%, combining for a roughly 88-point boost for the Dow. Caterpillar CAT, +2.64%, Boeing BA, +2.27%, and Chevron CVX, +2.06% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
