Inc., Chevron share gains lead Dow's 100-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday morning with shares of Inc. and Chevron delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. Shares of Inc. CRM, +2.79% and Chevron CVX, +2.38% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.32% was most recently trading 103 points (0.3%) higher. Inc.’s shares have gained $7.49 (3.1%) while those of Chevron are up $1.79 (2.0%), combining for an approximately 61-point boost for the Dow. Dow Inc. DOW, +1.51%, Caterpillar CAT, +2.62%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +1.78% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
