Dow Gains More Than 500 Points Following Monday's Plunge

U.S. stocks rose Tuesday, recovering most of Monday’s losses, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained more than 500 points.

The Dow strengthened 544.49 to 34,509.04 at 11:07 a.m. ET. It lost 725 points yesterday.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index increased 57.62 to 4,315.66.

The NASDAQ Composite Index moved higher 154.82 to 14,430.67.
