Dow over 250 pts lower in premarket ahead of data

Equities in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Friday ahead of the release of the latest reports on the country’s personal spending, manufacturing activity, construction spending, and consumer confidence. Earlier, the Senate once again failed to reach a deal on the social spending package.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average went down by 0.77% or 260 points at 4:25 am ET. A minute later, the Nasdaq 100 fell by 0.50%, while the S&P 500 declined by 0.68%.

The euro stood flat against the dollar at 4:25 am ET to sell for $1.15778.
