Goldman Sachs, Chevron share gains lead Dow's 400-point rally

Led by positive gains for shares of Goldman Sachs and Chevron, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Tuesday morning. The Dow DJIA, +1.31% was most recently trading 403 points, or 1.2%, higher, as shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +3.12% and Chevron CVX, +2.28% are contributing around a quarter of the index’s intraday rally. Goldman Sachs’s shares are up $11.25, or 3.0%, while those of Chevron have gained $2.97 (2.8%), combining for an approximately 94-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.13%, Nike NKE, +2.28%, and American Express AXP, +1.73%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
