Home Depot, Boeing share gains contribute to Dow's 50-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday afternoon with shares of Home Depot and Boeing delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. Shares of Home Depot HD, +1.72% and Boeing BA, +1.17% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, -0.10% was most recently trading 54 points higher (0.2%). Home Depot’s shares are up $5.66 (1.7%) while those of Boeing are up $3.70 (1.6%), combining for an approximately 62-point bump for the Dow. Salesforce.com Inc. CRM, +1.01%, Walgreens Boots WBA, +0.54%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, +0.58% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
