Dow climbs nearly 100 points on gains in shares of Johnson & Johnson, Nike

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Friday morning with shares of Johnson & Johnson and Nike delivering strong returns for the index. The Dow DJIA, +0.20% is trading 93 points, or 0.3%, higher, as shares of Johnson & Johnson JNJ, +1.54% and Nike NKE, +1.42% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Johnson & Johnson’s shares have risen $2.16, or 1.3%, while those of Nike are up $1.80, or 1.1%, combining for a roughly 26-point bump for the Dow. Dow Inc. DOW, +0.87%, Boeing BA, +1.93%, and Visa V, +1.11% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
