Dow water specialist says drinking water not affected

Dow informed the Daily News that its sewer system overflowed onto a small portion of its Midland property on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Becky Swanson, Dow’s environmental water regulatory specialist for Midland, told the Daily News the overflow was entirely contained on Dow property. It occurred at approximately 2 p.m. and was cleaned up by 4 p.m.

Swanson said the discharge will not affect drinking water.
