Walt Disney, Boeing share gains contribute to Dow's 134-point climb

Shares of Walt Disney and Boeing are seeing strong returns Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.26% was most recently trading 134 points (0.4%) higher, as shares of Walt Disney DIS, +1.57% and Boeing BA, +1.46% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Walt Disney’s shares have climbed $2.66 (1.7%) while those of Boeing have risen $3.43 (1.7%), combining for a roughly 40-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Dow Inc. DOW, +1.36%, Walmart WMT, +1.44%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, +1.38%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.59-point swing.
