Two suspects including a woman were arrested for allegedly assaulting a man at a morning market in Kuala Lumpur.
The case is believed to have occurred when the victim allegedly recorded business activities that violated the legal conditions of the license.
A video of the assault had since gone viral on social media.
Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Aimihizam Abdul Shukor said in a statement that the incident happened at the Taman OUG Morning Market.
The suspect allegedly set up a stall in excess of what is allowed by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). The victim recorded the business activities, purportedly to be used as evidence.

Dissatisfied, the trader attacked the victim. The victim, a 58-year -old man, claimed to have been injured by the 53-year-old suspect.
Let The Police Do Their Job, Don’t Speculate
Both suspects were arrested and the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing injury.
Aimihizam said the victim sought treatment at the University of Malaya Medical Center (UMMC) following the incident.
We took the testimony of the man involved and his 48 -year -old wife to assist in the investigation. A check was done and it was found that both suspects had no criminal record.

He advised the public not to take matters into their own hands especially when it could cause injury and unrest.
He urged the public to stop making speculation related to the video until the police investigation is completed.
