Dow falls 250 points on losses for shares of Nike, Boeing

Behind losses for shares of Nike and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down Monday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.45% was most recently trading 256 points lower (-0.7%), as shares of Nike NKE, -4.16% and Boeing BA, -2.87% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Nike’s shares are down $7.01 (4.5%) while those of Boeing have fallen $6.01, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 86-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Visa V, -2.30%, Home Depot HD, -1.56%, and Travelers TRV, -1.31%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
