Nike, American Express share gains lead Dow's 200-point climb

Shares of Nike and American Express are trading higher Friday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +1.47% is trading 200 points higher (0.6%), as shares of Nike NKE, +4.74% and American Express AXP, +3.58% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Nike’s shares have risen $3.80, or 3.5%, while those of American Express have climbed $4.51 (2.9%), combining for a roughly 55-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Salesforce Inc. CRM, +4.05%, Visa V, +2.71%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, +3.19%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
