Dow's 200-point drop led by losses in Chevron, Goldman Sachs stocks

Shares of Chevron and Goldman Sachs are retreating Friday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Chevron CVX, -4.87% and Goldman Sachs GS, -1.46% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.34% was most recently trading 201 points (0.7%) lower. Chevron’s shares are down $7.30, or 4.7%, while those of Goldman Sachs are off $5.98 (2.1%), combining for a roughly 88-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Intel INTC, -1.54%, Dow Inc. DOW, -1.94%, and IBM IBM, -1.47%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
