Chevron, Travelers share gains lead Dow's nearly 100-point climb

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday afternoon with shares of Chevron and Travelers delivering the strongest returns for the price-weighted average. Shares of Chevron CVX, +2.98% and Travelers TRV, +2.28% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.28% is trading 96 points higher (0.3%). Chevron’s shares are up $4.28 (3.0%) while those of Travelers are up $3.55, or 2.3%, combining for a roughly 52-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Caterpillar CAT, +1.79%, UnitedHealth UNH, +1.55%, and Dow Inc. DOW, +1.44%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
