Small-cap stocks edge up toward all-time high

The Russell 2000 Index, a measure of U.S. large-cap stocks, was edging up 0.1% to almost 2,428, according to FactSet data, at last check. The index was trading a bit below its highest close ever at 2,442.74 on Nov. 8, 2021, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
