Nike shares fell 3% Wednesday as Wall Street started placing bets on what the next Trump presidency could mean for various industries.

For now, traders seem to think Trump’s plan to significantly raise tariffs could prove challenging for footwear and apparel companies, one of the cornerstones of Oregon’s economy thanks to the corporate homes of Nike and Columbia Sportswear, the North American headquarters of Adidas , and hundreds of smaller companies with operations in the region.
