Canada and El Salvador both look to punch their tickets to the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup Quarterfinals on Tuesday night.
Canada looked as if it had a straight path to first place in Group B, especially after they handed Honduras a 6-0 shellacking in their first match of the tournament. However, things have gone a bit sour for the Canadian squad after drawing with Curacao this past Saturday, 1-1.

Things have not been all that great for El Salvador either. Despite salvaging a point against Curacao on Matchday 1 last Tuesday, the country was unable to capitalize on any of its chances a few days ago against Honduras, losing 2-0, putting their chances of advancing to the quarters for the third time in the last five Gold Cups at risk.
Canada comes into Tuesday first in the group, just one point ahead of Honduras. However, thanks to their +6 goal differential, the only way they could miss the quarters is if they lose by five goals on Tuesday and if there is a winner between Curacao and Honduras.
El Salvador can advance to the knockout stage with a win over Canada and Curacao and Honduras ends in a draw.
