Adilabad: Considering chilly weather conditions prevailed in the district, Police distributed 500 blankets to tribals dwelling in remote Kannapur, Kuntaguda, Jendaguda, and five other villages in Sirikondia mandal as part of a community outreach programme on Sunday. SP Akhil Mahajan was the chief guest of the event.
Akhil advised the tribals to give paramount importance to providing education to their children. He told the tribal youngsters to scale higher positions by setting goals and achieving government jobs. He asked them to visit private hospitals in towns, not to depend on quacks. He promised to conduct a health camp for the convenience of the tribals.
The SP further said that tests would be conducted for youngsters who applied for driving licenses from Monday onwards. He told the tribals to shun consumption of banned ganja and wanted them to share the movements of strangers with the police. Utnoor Additional SP Kajal Singh, Sirikonda SI Puja, and the elders of the villagers were present.
