Buck & Associates, a 50-year-old real estate company based near Courthouse, is turning the page on residential sales.

The firm has announced that its residential real estate agents have moved to other brokerages in Northern Virginia. Buck & Associates founder Bill Buck is planning a renewed focus on commercial real estate.

“The change allows Buck to concentrate fully on commercial brokerage while the former residential agents continue serving clients under their new affiliations,” the company said in a statement.

Buck will continue to lead the commercial side of the business with Dave DiNardo.

“Arlington has always been home,” Buck said. “I’m proud of what we’ve built over the past 50 years and grateful to the community that’s supported us.”

Several agents — Heidi Robbins, Donna Hamaker, Ricardo Iglesias, Sara Bordignon, Gus Daniel, Kathy Lash and Lisa Daniels — chose to relocate their business to Ballston-based Real Living at Home Real Estate. That company will continue to have a strong focus on Arlington, a spokesperson told ARLnow.

“We’ve long admired Buck & Associates for the reputation they’ve built in Arlington and the way they’ve served this community,” RLAH said in the statement. “Many of our agents already had close professional relationships with this group, so there was strong alignment from the start. We’re genuinely honored that these agents chose to continue their residential business with us.”

Buck & Associates’ real estate roots are in the commercial sector. Buck founded the firm as an insurance company in 1976 before adding commercial real estate — and later residential sales.

Over 50 years, the firm has served generations of Arlington families and businesses amid Metrorail’s development and neighborhood growth. The firm has remained family-owned at its original location at 2519 Wilson Blvd.

Buck & Associates complete statement on the change is below.

After five decades in Arlington real estate, Bill Buck is beginning a new chapter.

Buck founded Buck & Associates in 1976, originally building much of his early career in commercial brokerage before expanding into residential sales. For 50 years, the firm has been part of Arlington’s landscape — through neighborhood growth, Metro expansion, and multiple market cycles. Known for its local ownership and mentorship culture, the brokerage proudly helped shape the careers of many agents and served generations of Arlington families and businesses.

Moving forward, Buck & Associates will return to its commercial roots, focusing exclusively on commercial real estate, with Bill continuing to lead that side of the business alongside Dave DiNardo.

As the residential market has evolved, several of the firm’s residential agents have chosen to move their businesses to RLAH Real Estate (Real Living at Home), a boutique brokerage based in Ballston with a strong presence across Northern Virginia and D.C. Agents making that move include Heidi Robbins, Donna Hamaker, Ricardo Iglesias, Sara Bordignon, Gus Daniel, Kathy Lash, and Lisa Daniels. Several other agents have affiliated with various brokerages across Northern Virginia.

The change allows Buck to concentrate fully on commercial brokerage while the former residential agents continue serving clients under their new affiliations.

“Arlington has always been home,” Buck said. “I’m proud of what we’ve built over the past 50 years and grateful to the community that’s supported us.”

Bill Buck’s name will remain part of Arlington’s real estate community — now with a renewed focus on the commercial side of the business.
