US Stock Market LIVE Updates: Futures on Wall Street declined sharply after US President Donald Trump’s prime-time address and continue to remain lower. While the Dow Futures are down 450 points, S&P and Nasdaq future are down up to 1.5%. Brent has risen sharply and is nearing the mark of $110 a barrel. Trump in his address said the Iran war was at the cusp of an end, but threatened to hit Iran “extremely hard” in the next two to three weeks. He also told countries that can’t get fuel should “build up some courage” and “just take the Strait of Hormuz”. He also did not share any clarity on whether there will be any ground operations in Iran. Trump’s escalation warning disappointed the markets, who were anticipating another TACO moment, with the Dow Jones having rallied for three days straight. The other risk is of the long weekend that lies ahead, and investors would be skeptical to take any positions forward amidst these war uncertainties.
