Cardi B has taken celebrity baby keepsakes to a whole new level, by turning a piece of her newborn’s umbilical cord into gold!
The rapper, 33, welcomed her fourth child — her first with NFL star Stefon Diggs — on November 4, and marked the moment with a jaw-dropping memento.
Cardi enlisted Mommy Made Encapsulation to dehydrate part of her son’s umbilical cord, shape it into a heart and dip it in gold chrome, the company confirmed in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, November 18.

The brand shared behind-the-scenes videos of the process, showing her umbilical cord being molded and transformed into a glossy gold charm. In another post, Cardi also appeared to opt to have her placenta encapsulated by the company as well.

Cardi later posted the first photos of her baby boy on November 19, cradling him in a nursery while he snoozed in a New England Patriots cap — a nod to Diggs, 31, who plays for the team. She also included snaps of herself, Diggs and their son in the hospital shortly after delivery.
Cardi shares daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 1, and son Wave, 4, with ex Offset. Diggs is dad to daughters Nova, 9, and Charliee, 7 months.
