New Delhi: In India, the price of 24-karat gold per gram was recorded at Rs 8,929, falling by Rs 33. Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was recorded at Rs 8,185 per gram with the price dropping by Rs 30. The rate for 18-karat gold (or 999 gold) was Rs 6,697 per gram, declining by Rs 25.

The cost of 22-karat gold for 10 grams was Rs 81,850, falling by Rs 300, and 24-karat gold was recorded at Rs 89,290 for 10 grams, also dropping by Rs 330.

On March 25, at approximately 10:05 am, MCX Gold for April 4 contracts was up 0.27%, trading at Rs 87,510 per 10 grams. It has decreased by more than Rs 2,000 from its peak of Rs 89,796 per 10 grams, which it reached on March 20.

Gold prices are volatile and can be impacted by domestic and international changes such as changes in global demand, shifts in interest rates, fluctuation in currency exchange rates especially the US dollar against INR, changes in governmental policies, and significant international events.
