Gold hit yet another record high on Wednesday, as uncertainty on multiple fronts sent investors piling into the precious metal once more.
Futures climbed 0.4% to $3,607 an ounce, having peaked at just under $3,617 an ounce in earlier trading.
Bullion has been rallying in recent days, with traders looking for safe havens amid worries about a potential flare-up in inflation and ballooning government deficits.
