Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India have displayed significant volatility in recent times. After surging to an all-time high in early October, the yellow metal’s prices are dipping in November.
After witnessing a rise in gold prices in India on November 22, driven by the wedding season demand, however, as of today, Monday, November 24, 2025, the prices of gold showed a downward trend across all purity levels.
Gold is considered an ideal inflation hedge, with 24-carat gold being the most expensive form of gold, and it is commonly used for investment purposes. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.

The gold prices in India saw a mild decline today, with 24-carat gold slipping to ₹12,513 per gram, down by ₹71, while 22-carat gold fell to ₹11,470 per gram, a decrease of ₹65. Prices for 18-carat gold also dropped by ₹53, now trading at ₹9,385 per gram.
