Great Britain was second to France after the men’s leg of the final, but the French could not hold on to the top spot and took bronze instead.

Mixed Team Snowboard Cross Final Results

Charlotte Bankes made up the deficit of 14-hundredths of a second to France during the women’s leg of the mixed team relay.

Bankes got past France’s Lea Casta halfway through the course and ended up a margin of victory of 43-hundredths of a second over Italy.

Michela Moioli made the silver-medal winning pass for Italy on France. Australia finished fourth in the four-team big final.

Team GB’s victory was its second of the Milan Cortina Games. The other gold was earned in skeleton by Matt Weston.

Moioli’s efforts to earn silver gave Italy its 21st medal of its home Olympics. Italy is on track to win the most Winter Olympics medals in its history.

France’s bronze was the 15th medal for the European country in northern Italy. France is squarely in the mix to finish in the top five of the overall medal count thanks to its efforts in the alpine events.
