Panama looks to secure the top spot in Group C in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, while Jamaica’s simply trying to get into the quarterfinals on Tuesday night.
Panama entered the tournament as favorites to make another deep run thanks to their impressive performances at the latest Gold Cup two years ago as well as this past seasons Nations League, making it to the championship matches in both events. Jamaica got off to a very sluggish start, as the team was stunned by Guatemala on Matchday 1 eight days ago. However, the Caribbean nation was able to bounce back against Guadeloupe, narrowly escaping with a 2-1 win in order to keep their knockout stage hopes alive.
Now, it sets up an intriguing final day for the group. A win or a draw for Panama gives them first place. If they lose, the only way they can miss out on the quarterfinals is if both Jamaica wins by three goals and Guatemala takes down Guadeloupe by the same margin.
Jamaica gets in with a win, or a draw and Guatemala draws or loses on Tuesday, If Jamaica loses, they can move on if Guatemala loses to Guadeloupe by the same or larger margin.
