AI start-up founder pleads guilty to misleading investors

The former chief executive of failed artificial intelligence marketing start-up Metigy has pleaded guilty to misleading investors while raising capital, and dishonestly using his position as a director to obtain a $7.7 million personal loan.

David Fairfull, who co-founded Metigy in 2015, admitted to one count of making false and misleading statements and one count of dishonestly using his position as a director to gain an advantage.
