Apr. 27—BEMIDJI — Indivisible Bemidji

is hosting a “Hands Off Social Security” peaceful rally set to take place between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, in front of the Bemidji Social Security Office, located at 2900 Hannah Avenue NW.

This demonstration will focus on Social Security, veteran benefits, Medicaid and Medicare in relation to the Trump administration and the Department of Government Efficiency, a release said. It follows a

that happened on April 5, specifically along Paul Bunyan Drive in Bemidji.

Indivisible Bemidji cites a fear of losing Social Security services and benefits due to various Trump administration and DOGE actions as the purpose for the May 1 rally.
