While pay for the likes of doctors, lawyers, bankers, accountants and tech workers looks high, many argue that the elevated costs of living in affluent, urban areas is such that even a salary in the higher tax bands isn’t enough.
The greatest pressure will come for middle and higher earnings, rather than the highest. “Middle to higher-earners are probably getting hit harder than anybody with this budget,” said Scott Tindle, director of wealth management at TindleWealth.
