The Dow was on track to slide for the fourth session in a row as the blue-chip index was weighed down by its biggest components.
‘The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 342 points, or 0.7%.
Out of the top 10 highest weighted stocks in the index, six were declining and four were higher. The largest decliner out of the lot was Home Depot, whose shares were down 4.5%. Home Depot also makes up 4.6% of the index.
