Nvidia's stock falls ahead of earnings

Nvidia’s stock was one of the S&P 500’s best performers in Tuesday’s session, but it’s retreating Wednesday ahead of the fiscal third-quarter report.

Shares are down 1.5% in morning action and showing the second-steepest decline within the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Only Amazon shares, down 1.9%, are off more.

Nvidia’s stock is now off about 3% from its Nov. 7 closing high of $148.88.
